In Western Australia’s first inland town an annual fair was established for the purpose of the sale and show of stock and wool to encourage improvement in the breed of sheep and other stock. The York Agricultural Show.
These days the York Show is held on the first Saturday of September each year as a celebration of all things agricultural and the York community! This year it falls on Saturday the 4th of September and the gates open at 9am.
Highlights this year will include York Ag Society Show Train, log chopping, shearing, paddock walks, all day stage entertainment, equestrian events, animal petting zones, multiple exhibition buildings showcasing local produce, fashion and arts and crafts and last and definitely not least, SHOWBAGS!
