The annual event is held at the Whittlesea Showgrounds 28 Mcphees Rd, Whittlesea VIC 3757. The Show usually takes place around Melbourne cup weekend, the dates for 2020 are 31st October – 1st of November.
From humble beginnings in the local pub in 1859 where two local farmers managed to convince the publican to chair a meeting to hold the first Whittlesea Fair, the Society has grown to the staging of an impressive annual two day Show which sees crowds of over 50,000.
The Society boasts a membership of over 750 and the Whittlesea Show has grown to become one of the premier Agricultural events in Victoria.
Fourth and fifth-generation family’s members are still involved to this very day and volunteering and commitment have been the keys to its success.
The show is a full family day out with everything you would expect from a country show, including competitions, live entertainment, rides, showbags and so much more.
