About the Show

First held in 1877, the Gympie Show (initially named the Gympie Agricultural, Mining, and Pastoral Society Exhibition) is one of Queensland’s longest-running and most-loved annual events, drawing visitors from across the region for a few unforgettable days of country fun. It’s a true celebration of agriculture, local talent, and community pride, offering something special for every member of the family.

A day at the Gympie Show means enjoying everything from adorable farm animals and fresh local produce to heart-pounding rides, woodchopping competitions, and live entertainment. It’s the perfect mix of classic show traditions and modern-day excitement.
