The Royal Adelaide show is back and better than ever in 2022! In 1839, settlers created an organization to promote South Australia’s agriculture, pastoralism, and horticulture. They believed that the potential of rural industries was immense and decided exhibitions of livestock, produce, and grain would exemplify this.
Although looking slightly different from 1839, the show still exhibits some of the best agriculture, viticulture, livestock, and much more! 400,000 people will pass through the Adelaide showgrounds throughout the show.
As you’d expect, the Adelaide show is brimming with entertainment and competition with something for everyone. A government grant of $500,000 re-introduces live music back to the show! Programs are available now, and live music will play each day from 10 am. This move hopes to bring in even bigger crowds and provide a platform for emerging artists.
Don’t forget about all the brilliant local SA products (did someone say Fruchocs?), cute animals, entertainment and the Paw Patrol crew will also attend (pick up the showbags for the whole experience!)
We know that no show experience is complete without a sugar rush! That’s why it will be brimming with our showbags! No show would be whole without taking home several armfuls of show goodies. You can expect all the crowd favourites and, if your game, some new varieties. More of a lolly enthusiast? Our finest confectionary showbags have your name on them! Jelly Belly, Sour Patch, Trolli and many more of your sugary favourites are up for grabs. If you are more of a chocolate fan, we will satisfy all cravings with Cadbury and even Oreo! If you are more into novelty showbags, we offer a wide range of all your children’s favourite characters, toys and games (there may even be a bit of nostalgia for the adults). We have something for everyone to suit all budgets and families!
So, if you are looking for a fun-filled family day at the show (and fireworks), don’t miss the Adelaide show!
