The royal Darwin show is a significant fundraising event for 1000s of volunteers and local community groups and clubs each year. This year will be the 71st Annual Royal Darwin show, the first dating back to 1951. The show is held at the permanent showground at Darwin Showgrounds, Tate Place, Winnellie NT 0820. The show is an opportunity for the wider community to come together and display their craft to a broad audience. We are pleased to announce that Showbags will be at the Darwin Show in 2022!

With numerous exhibitions, entertainment, and more, people from all walks of life and ages, such as farmers, families, singers, and artists, will enjoy what the show offers. Exhibitions include art, fireworks, crafts, cooking, culture, skills and talents, music, horticulture, and much more. Over 200 stalls will be featured, with over 20,000 people visiting the weekend. So many people from the area and beyond enjoy visiting because of the agricultural theme and support the show provides. There is an opportunity to appreciate the local hardworking people and their achievements. One of the show’s main events is centered around the Public Holiday Friday grand parade.

Another main attraction to the show is the infamous entertainment and sideshow alley, with games, rides, and more to keep everyone happy. Showbags are, of course, one of the main attractions for show comers.

There will be approximately 300 tantalising show bags on offer across the board, including various confectionary options, multiple chocolate show bags and an assortment of everyone’s favourite novelty bags too! These show bags include classics, old-school family favourites and new novelty bags the kids will love!

The show will bring together families, friends, competitors, exhibitors, community groups and visitors from all over Australia (and the globe) to support and celebrate the Northern Territory’s rich culture.

Darwin Show public holiday is usually on the last or second-last Friday in July. The Royal Darwin Show runs from 9 am to 10 pm on Thur, Friday and Saturday.
